Event Information:

For the 27th consecutive years The Persian Society of Marin will be celebrating the ancient custom of bidding farewell to the winter and welcoming the Spring season and the rebirth of nature (A New Beginning), in beautiful McNear's Beach Park, overlooking the San Francisco Bay. We will observe the ancient Persian ritual of cleansing of what has passed to bring on the new by jumping over bonfires.
Persian food with hot and cold beverages will be available at the location for reasonable prices.

Attention:
In Remembrance of the many fallen thousands in our motherland Iran, We will observe and upkeep the ancient Persian tradition of Chahar Shanbeh Soori this year with a lowkey and somber theme. We will hold a candlelight vigil to honor those many who gave their lives for freedom and a better future for generations to com. Please bring a candle with you, if possible.

• Distribution of flyers & advertising without the consent of the organizers are not allowed.
• No independent commercial sales or purchases of any goods or items  are allowed whatsoever.
• Political & Religious gatherings & demonstrations and dissemination of such information are not permitted.
• In case of severe weather conditions, the event will be cancelled.
• Dogs & Other Domestic Animals Are Not Allowed In The Park except for dogs trained and used as service animals as defined The Americans With Disabilities Act. Individuals accompanying dogs are required to properly clean up and dispose of pet waste.
